1. Tiffany, how do you see the new women’s team contributing to Seattle soccer?
It creates more opportunities for the Seattle community to enjoy and experience competitive women’s soccer. Our team will come together from different college programs and backgrounds to represent one team in Ballard. Our athletes will be able to continue developing their skills, but also create bonds that can carry beyond the 2025 season. That’s really special.
2. What’s been your favorite part so far about getting the women’s team off the ground?
So many things — having the ability to give back and propel women’s soccer forward. Seeing the endless potential that this sport has. Recognizing that so many people within our community want to be a part of this progression for women’s soccer and want to create change. It’s so inspiring.
3. What would you say to young women dreaming of making sports into a career, whether that’s on the field or behind the scenes?
Don’t doubt your dreams! And don’t let anyone limit your goals. Break through those barriers and continue to push for change to help women’s sports for those who come after. Be the change you want to see.
4. Game days at Interbay Stadium are about to get even more exciting! What can fans expect when our women’s team hits the field?
Electrifying passion from the players and the fans. There will be a tangible competitiveness on the field and a vibrant atmosphere throughout the stadium. My favorite part about match day is feeling that natural exchange of positivity between players and fans. We’re focused on creating match day experiences that celebrate and amplify this feeling. We want our supporters to feel like they’re part of the journey and a part of the team.
5. Okay, time for a fun one! If you could magically grant our women’s team one superpower, what would it be and why?
As an Athletic Trainer, I would want our team to have healing powers. It might sound cliche, but I understand how hard it can be for athletes, especially female athletes, to return from injury and to manage chronic pain. To have the power to play and focus on just the sport without injury would exponentially heighten the athlete experience.
